BISE Lahore Board is the main skeleton of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Lahore. It is located on 86 Mozang Road. Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education was recognized in 1956. Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education was limited with Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib Districts. Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib are the biggest source of education and it controls most of the educational system in the country. Almost 2 million students from intermediate and Matriculation appear in exams from this board. Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education offers 2 groups at the level of matriculation.

Since Pakistan came into existence the whole education system at intermediate and matriculation level was controlled by University of the Punjab, then because of the Punjab University Act (Amendment) Ordinance 1954 the secondary Education, Punjab Board was established. Then in 1955 the first examination was conducted in these stages. Due to fast increasing amount of candidates the two more Boards were announced in Multan and Sargodha by West Pakistan Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance No.XVII of 1968. After that the board was established in two more districts Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. According to the Punjab Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education Act 1976 the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Lahore was re constructed and now at division levels eight Boards are working.
BISE Lahore Board organized Intermediate and Secondary exams every year regularly and on time. Secondary exams results is usually announced in July or in the start of august, while the result of intermediate education is announced every year in the months of august or September.
